Interactive Practice Test
100 questions (longer than the actual SOL, so if you can do well on this, you'll likely do well on the real test) You should be in the 70s to feel comfortable, anything less and you need to keep working.

Interactive Practice Test Two
After you've burned through the questions in test one, try this one.

Practice Test from Class
60 questions. This is the practice SOL test we did in class. Try and improve upon your best score.

Another Practice Test
This practice test has the newest example questions from the Commonwealth of Virginia

Mega Flash Cards A very extensive set of interactive flashcards

Interactive Flash Cards
This is a great site because the flash cards are already made for you. As they appear, try and figure them out. Click the card to flip it over, then click which pile you want to put it into, green if you got it correct, red if you got it incorrect.

SOL Review Power Point Part 1
A very extensive review, one slide at a time.  (File 1 of 2)

SOL Review Power Point Part 2
A very extensive review, one slide at a time.  (File 2 of 2)

SOL Review Video Part 1 and Part 2
A video review set to rock music. Seriously.

Games
This site created by a WHI teacher has a ton of games, broken down into topics. After you've taken a couple of the SOL practice exams, you should have a good idea where your weaknesses are. Hit those areas by playing a game of hangman, concentration or word search. It's pretty fun, actually.

Ancient Rome Practice Test
Rome is one of the biggest sections of the SOL test. Try your luck with this practice test that is only about Roman material.

Map Quizzes
These quizzes get you familiar with the physical locations on the globe we've talked about. Each is only ten or so questions, so check each out because maps are definitely on the SOL.

Map Quiz India and China
Map Quiz Early Middle Ages and Byzantine Empire

World History I Class Materials

Below you will find all of the lessons and notes from my World History I course.  Each link should open a new window, where the file is hosted by Google Drive.  Due to the fact that some material was produced using Microsoft Office, the formatting may not translate perfectly.
Google Drive is a good, free alternative to Microsoft Office, as is LibreOffice.
